Few will have heard of an MP by the alliterative name Ernest Ogesi Kivai. And not without a good reason for this character who is MP for Vihiga is one of the MPs who have never uttered a word in parliament ever since he was elected according to Weekly Citizen.
Apart from not saying a word in parliament, the MP is accused of not taking care of the welfare of his staff both in Nairobi and at Vihiga National Government Constituency Development Fund offices.
At parliament, Kivai is accused by MPs of having the worst dressed driver and bodyguards. He is said to be so mean to an extent that he rarely buys his driver and bodyguards lunch. He keeps them waiting as he enjoys food and drinks in high end Nairobi hotels after making technical appearance in parliament.
At one point, an MP from Western had to instruct his team to take care of Kivai’s driver and bodyguard after he found them yawning at a city hotel car park as the Vihiga MP waited inside to meet his colleagues.
Kivai has also employed a lady at the local National Government Constituency Development Fund office in suspicious circumstances and now it is the subject of gossip. The lady was close to former are MP Yusuf Chanzu.
