Themes are the most important thing to helping you lay a better web design to your site with no coding or programming skills. There are websites which require a lot of complicated codes and design, check this out; Sportpesa. But since the interception of WordPress, things have been way more easier to bloggers and more other people out there.
WordPress is a web software you can use to create beautiful websites or blogs. WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.
The core software is built by hundreds of community volunteers, and when you’re ready for more there are thousands of plugins and themes available to transform your site into almost anything you can imagine.
What do you need to be a WordPress member? Well you can buy any WordPress hosting plan, or your web host may give you the option of installing it in your panel control for free.
For instance you hosted your domain with True Host , True Host gives you the option of installing WordPress from cpanel. Just go to Softaculous apps installer, you will see a lot of applications to install but click on WordPress, you will instantly get to the recently released WordPress 4.9.1 version, then click install.
After the installation, log in to your account, then go straight to your dashboard. Kindly use the screenshots below taken from my WordPress dashboard to help you understand more easier.
Now scroll down your dashboard till you get to Appearance.
In Appearance choose Themes from other options.
After choosing themes, you can either add your own theme or use free ready-made themes from WordPress, after installation WordPress gives you three basic themes to start with; Twenty Sixteen, Twenty Fifteen and Twenty Seventeen. You can as well use your own premium themes bought here or any other theme companies as Mythemeshop.
Scroll down then click add New Theme.
You will either choose to upload a new theme or use the ones listed on WordPress.
If you choose to upload a new theme then press upload theme.
Remember all WordPress themes and plugins are zipped, so choose the zipped file you want to upload.
After you have chosen your file click install for WordPress to unzip your file. Your them will be installed.
It’s now time to activate your theme, after activation, customise your theme to fit your site.
Make it more appealing to users and visitors so as they can keep on coming back for more content, there are drag and drop widgets which make your work more easy and does not require coding or anything. Create more pages, and much more attractive contents.
