The greatest and funniest Tanzanian actor (Amri Athuman) mzee Majuto has passed on, Mzee Majuto succumbed to death at around 8:00 pm today August 8, 2018 at the National Hospital, Muhimbili where he was lying in hospital for several days after a long illness.
Majuto’s wife Aisha was at the time quoted by Azania Times saying that the award winning actor was battling hernia.
A condition that occurs “when an organ pushes through an opening in the muscle or tissue” according to healthline.com .
Mzee Majuto’s son Abuu has confirmed his father’s death.
Also, comedian Joti was the first to announce the sad demise of Mzee Majuto in his personal Instagram account.
“R.I.P King Majuto Umetuachia Maumivu Makubwa sana katika Tasnia ya Comedy Tanzania, sisi wanao, tutakukumbuka kwa kazi zako, upendo wako, tabasamu lako Daima milele, tulikupenda sana ila Mungu amekupenda zaidi, pumzika kwa Amani Mzee wetu,” wrote Joti.
The late comedian actor Majuto was born in 1948 in Tanga and studied Msambwini School, in the country, began in 1958 at the age of 10.
He recently was transported to India where he was treated and returned to the country where he was sent to Muhimbili to continue his treatment.
Majuto was the first actor to organize his career in belts and sells with the Tanzania Film Company (TFC), the most popular actor of his favorite performances, his favorite films in various countries.
Mzee Majuto has left behind a wife Aisha Majuto and children.
